Redefining Islamic Art for the Contemporary World

Islamic Arts Magazine is an online magazine published by MONOLIT, the Association for promoting Islamic Arts. We are based in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We bring up-to-date art news, exhibitions, auctions, interviews and articles with stunning photography, beautiful design and video content. Our objective is to promote the creative power of art and artists by building privileged international relationships with galleries, museums, and collectors.

The topics range from traditional to contemporary art and cover all media. We feature and promote:

  • traditional artisans and contemporary artists
  • artists that are inspired by Islamic art and culture
  • contemporary artists that are exhibiting in galleries located in Islamic countries,
  • contemporary exhibitions across the globe
  • art events (art fairs, festivals, symposiums, awards, …),
  • art institutions (museums and galleries).

Uniting our creative potential makes us all stronger. Encouraging creative expression and the creative industries is an endeavour that is beneficial not only for cultural, but also for social and economic development. It highlights shared values of countries, peoples, and institutions.

Islamic Arts Magazine stands out as one of the flagships of this phenomenon.
